Once Upon a Time in Wonderland Discussion Post

Once Upon a Time in Wonderland has finished its 13 episode run and come to a close.
I’m not sure if anyone else watched it, or even wants to talk about it, but I thought I’d put this up here just in case anyone does.
I watched the whole season and while I had mixed feelings about it throughout the run, all in all I did really enjoy it.
Personally the Knave of Hearts was my favorite character.

I liked Alice too. I loved the Knave and Alice’s friendship a lot.
I wasn’t very fond of Jafar as a character though I really like Naveen Andrews.
The Red Queen, I started out hating but she grew on me.
I loved seeing Cora/The Queen of Hearts again in the flashbacks. She is such a horrible person but in such a fun way.
I liked the ending though it did seem a little rushed. I liked that it gave good closure and a happily ever after (at least for now) kind of ending.

I feel satisfied with how it ended and I’m glad I watched the show. I'm a little sad that there won't be a second season, but I never had much hopes for one anyways.
I’m hoping that the Knave will be moving on to Once Upon a Time next season (assuming there is a season 4) as rumored.
So if anyone has any thoughts on the show please feel free to comment, I’d love to talk about it :)

The Knave was brilliant; definitely also my favorite character. Alice worked well for me too, and despite my initial misgivings, I did grow to like both Jafar and the Red Queen as characters. But I do think that in the case of Jafar, this was pretty much solely down to the actor... the writing certainly wasn't subtle or nuanced, but somehow, Naveen Andrews managed to make it work for long stretches of time.
Like you, I'm glad I watched it and glad that it didn't end with a cliffhanger. Closure is a good thing here!
When I started typing my answer to this post, somehow it turned into a huge (and fairly critical) thing and I had to post it separately. So if you're interested in my thoughts on the series' flaws, yeah. There they are. *g*
ETA: As far as I know, it's been confirmed there will be another season of Once Upon a Time, and that the Knave will indeed be switching over to that show. So at least we'll be able to see him again there. :-)
